Reading Assessment

Reading assessment includes assessing a child’s phonological awareness, phonemic discrimination, phonics knowledge, reading fluency, spelling, writing, and reading comprehension. Reading assessment is a comprehensive evaluation that identifies the specific areas of development that hinder reading and comprehension on grade level.

1-on-1 Customized Reading and Comprehension Instruction

Following a reading assessment, we create a reading skill development plan that includes specific growth areas. These sessions are highly customized, rely on the literacy diet model, and are developed based on each child’s interest, dominant learning styles and intelligences. Summer Camps

Summer vacation is an ideal time for children to develop their own voice while exploring important community issues. Participants will research a problem in the community, interview stakeholders, and develop a persuasive pitch through a Zoom presentation or recorded podcast.

Inspired by the Project Based Learning (PBL) approach, students will investigate the problem’s history, organize their notes, brainstorm solutions, and leverage technology to share their ideas for change.

This program empowers students to actively address real-world challenges while building essential research and communication skills. This real-life experience is an opportunity to problem-solve, be creative, and collaborate, which lays the groundwork for future civic engagement and leadership.
